University of Dammam had prepared a project to prepare a plan to increase efficiency and diversify of funding sources  for the University form 2016 to 2020 with technical support from experts path company the plan included seven axes to be increased the academic, operational and financial efficiency, and included axes efficient absorptive capacity of the university, and the efficiency of teaching stuff with administrative efficiency research and innovations, and efficiency of social responsibility, and efficiency of corporate performance and governance, and finally financial performance efficiency and diversify funding sources.

Dr. Hussein al-Qurashi, Chairman of Expertpath company said that the plan adopted in the preparation of a range of sources, including the University of Dammam strategy and a plan of comprehensive development of the university, and plan the development of university education (AFAQ), as well as strategies related to national plans, such as the national strategy to shift to community knowledge, the national industrial strategy, the national plan for Science, technology and innovation, and the tenth Five-Year plan, and the workshop which was held under the auspices of the director of the univeristy Prof. Abdullah Rbaish has contributed to the preparation of the plan of the team and Vice President for Studies, Development and Community Service, led by His Excellency the Vice President for Studies, Development, and a community service. Dr. Abdullah Bin Hussein, the judge and the membership of a. Dr. Ibtisam Mohammad Almathal the representative of administrative development. Dr.. Mahmoud Ahmed Abdel Latif agency counselor, and Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Ismail, Director of Studies Unit. dr. Qurashi praised   good cooperation between the team members and their eagerness to bring out the project as required.
